The Holiday Gift Guide Part 1 + GIVEAWAY

I am super excited about today's post. Its getting closer to that time of the year; when the the leaves start to turn color and the air gets a little more crisp. It is also the time of the year when my mind turns to gift giving. For the past several years, I've made all my holiday gifts. I enjoy doing it but it is time consuming. This year, I've decided that while I still want to give handmade, I think I'd rather support other crafters and artisans than make everything myself. Its a win-win situation. Since I already need to do the research to find the perfect gifts for all of my lovely friends and family, I'm going to share the love with you!

Whichever winter holiday you celebrate, you will not want to miss this series. Every other Friday starting today until November 23th, I will post a series of great handmade gift ideas.

Here's the schedule:
Sept 14 - Waldorf Inspired Toys
Sept 28 - Transportation, Fairies, and Art Lovers
Oct 12 - Clothing and other Wearables
Oct 26 - Tiny Treasures
Nov 9 - TBA
Nov 23 - TBA

I love gift guides; they are so much fun all by themselves! But to ratchet up the fun on this series of gift guides, we'll be offering a giveaway as well. One lucky reader who enters the Tansy Doll Holiday Gift Guide Giveaway will win $30.00 to put towards any ONE shop featured in the 6 part series gift guide. All you have to do is click here and enter by following the directions. Make sure to check back every other Friday from here on out because there will be ways to earn additional entries.

To kick off the gift guide series, I thought I'd start with Waldorf inspired toys. I love the feel and look of wooden toys and natural fibers. Don't get me wrong, we have our fair share of plastic toys but they just don't have that special something that natural toys have. So here's my list of top 10 Waldorf inspired toys. Be sure to check out all the other goodies that the shops offer as well!
